Purpose of the website

The website presents RoAnn’s activities, insights, spaces and contact channels. The information published is general and informational. It does not, by itself, constitute a consultation or legal, tax, financial or regulatory advice tailored to a particular situation.

Nature of engagements

RoAnn Africa Legal Consulting S.L. is an international legal strategy consulting structure. Viewing the website or sending a message does not, by itself, create a professional relationship or a duty to advise. Any engagement requires express acceptance and, where applicable, an engagement letter, conflict checks and compliance with the relevant professional rules. Data processed and purposes

RoAnn may process data you choose to provide by email or in the context of a professional relationship: identity, contact details, organisation, role, countries or legal systems involved, the content of your request and information needed to follow it up. These data are used to respond to enquiries, assess a potential engagement, carry out necessary preliminary checks, organise and perform a contractual or professional relationship and comply with applicable legal obligations.

The website contact form operates locally: it prepares an email in your email application. Information entered in the form is not transmitted to RoAnn by the website unless and until you send the message yourself.

As with any website, the hosting infrastructure may process technical connection and security data such as the IP address, date and time of the request, requested URL or browser information, insofar as necessary for the operation, security, diagnosis and protection of the service.

Legal bases

You may request access, rectification or erasure, restriction of processing, object where applicable, request portability in the cases provided by law and withdraw consent at any time where consent is the legal basis, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing. Confidentiality, minors and automated decisions

The website is not specifically directed at minors. Technology used

Browser local storage: when you close the notice, the website stores a technical value locally containing the “closed” status and the corresponding date. It is not used for audience measurement, profiling, advertising or cross-site tracking. It is retained for no more than twelve months unless you clear it sooner in your browser.

Under the current configuration, this storage is limited to the functionality expressly requested when you close the notice and is strictly technical. No consent to optional technologies is therefore requested. Third-party services

As of the date of this policy, the files published by RoAnn do not load analytics tools, advertising pixels, social-media modules, Google Analytics, Google Maps or embedded YouTube videos capable of setting optional cookies. Links to third-party websites open third-party services governed by their own policies.

You can clear local storage and any cookies through your browser settings. Clearing the technical value associated with the notice will only cause the notice to reappear on a later visit.
